Heroes Trust The Process
Happy Humpday Hero!
I trust your world is looking clearer by the day even if it's by just one spec!
Interesting way for me to start that sentence as I ponder what to talk about this week…
Trust…
Something that what one the forefront of my mind this morning as I awoke. It's an important thing to trust and the most important part about it is to be trusting in the choices you make. This in itself is a hard thing to begin cultivating because it means that to trust oneself you must fail again and again and again. Why must you fail again and again and again you ask?
Failure is an integral part in the refining process. School has tainted it and left you feeling like it's a bad thing to fail, like you'll be a loser or kicked out of the cool kids club. It's also leaves you feeling like you'll have no options in life if you fail because its made out to be the opposite of success.
I call total BS (belief systems or bull shit… whichever suits you)
How you perceive a failure will determine how you approach the same situation again the next time. It can cause you to rise or it can cause you to fall so what determines which outcome becomes the norm for you? The answer to that question is how you approach the process will determine the outcome. Failure is part of the process. When you understand that a perceived failure has merely shown you what does not work or what you don't want then you can be free to finally discover what does work or what you truly desire! Remember what you are saying consistently yes to then you'll be saying no to its equal or greater opposite. If something no longer serves you then it's ok to let it go but if you are getting something out of it then keep failing until you see just exactly what it is that you're trying to create.
The bedrock of all of this is trust as I said in the beginning - you must absolutely trust that every step of the journey is designed to help you return home, it's to help you become the person you are seeking so that you can see him or her in everyone. This is the essence of becoming Heroic. Having so much trust in yourself and your life's journey that you can accommodate the good and the bad, the fun and the annoying, the joyful and the angering - you can finally be what the moment is courting you to become and free yourself from a life that was never really yours!
