Heroes Weather Storms To Sail Calm Seas

Happy Humpday what ships has this week brought your way?

Have you learned to captain those ships this week and sailed them in on calm seas?

Its a beautiful metaphor that I learned from one of my first mentors Florence Schovel Shinn - in her book ‘The Game Of Life & How To Play It’ she teaches that your ships will only come in on calm seas meaning that if you have stormy weather in your life at the moment in the form of problems you are avoiding or not quite seeing correctly then the things you desire so much will not be able to come into your life because you are distracted. You are an energetic match for that which occupies your mind most because how you imagine things is how you will experience them. Its a beautiful image to call to mind - imagining a big golden ship with all the treasures my heart desires held safely within its galleys, proudly flying Alchemo’s flag and me standing at the wheel with a big smile on my face, the sun rising as the my ship gently floats in on a millpond-like ocean, a gentle zephyr guiding me to shore.

It isn't always like this though, sometimes i imagine stormy weather and it is at those times i must enact The Heroic Method and call in the rainbow that always comes after every storm. 

How do you imagine your days? How do you see yourself moving through challenges and stormy weather? It's fitting to reflect upon this being in the southern hemisphere here in Australia. Staying grounded and relaxing into the howling winds and stinging rains midst of the storm is your first port of call to be able to get through it unschathed. Often stormy weather can blow you in a direction you hadn't known but can get you to where you want to go much faster if you allow your Hero to Help you! They build resilience and adaptability, they help you trust yourself more as you invite your Hero into it to work through you.
